Ottawa Zombie Walk 2012

“Arr… Brains!” was the sound tourists visiting Downtown Ottawa heard on a drizzily Saturday before Halloween. Suddenly the streets filled with Zombies! They were everywhere at once! Was it the Zombie apocalypse? No, not yet, but it was the Annual Ottawa Zombie Walk!

There was quite a turn out this year and I was on-hand snapping photos and video (coming soon) of the hoard as it descended upon Parliament Hill. First off, ground zero was MacDonald Gardens Park, which quickly became overrun by zombies, whole families of zombies. The grounds were covered in seconds ….

Authorities where quickly overrun and had to make a hasty retreat or …

Attempts to contain the hazard failed miserably as the hoard took to the streets.

I met one solider who got off lucky from the skirmish, only a small flesh wound on his leg…

The Zombie walk can be a tiring event. Fortunately for some, they were able to rustle refreshments from the the dead hands of their victims …

Not everyone was against the Zombie Apocalypse …

Eventually they made it to Parliament Hill to call for more brains …

Afterwards the Zombies dispersed… although some still lingered as if looking for a lost loved one they may of eaten earlier in the day… or additional photo shoot opportunities…

Looks like a great event. I was sorry to miss it this year, but an over-tired 4 year old and the drizzle talked me out of it. Thanks for sharing.
