Spring storm hits Ontario

April 23, 2012 – Woke up this morning to heavily overcast skies, took a look out the window, and, like the weather forecasting groundhog, decided that it might be better to get back under the covers.  In Kanata, Ontario, it snowed overnight but most of the white stuff is melting as it touches the warm ground.  Mostly rain and possibly freezing rain is forecast for our area of Ontario, so I expect that the green grass won’t be wearing a white mantle for very long but definitely enough of a mess at these temperatures to cause airport delays (deicing) and a few traffic snarls (slippery roads).
