After having breakfast with a retiring colleague this morning, I headed over to Parliament Hill to photograph a few tulips. When I arrived, another protest group was preparing for yet another demonstration and parade. I say “Yet Another” because I rarely get to Parliament Hill and, each time that I am there, it seems that I find that I’m smack dab in the middle of some protest or another. Today, it was a march by a number of anti-abortionist groups continuing their protest against Canadian legislation that was passed over a decade ago.
When I left the Hill to go look for some more tulips to photograph, the signs were still being assembled and people were beginning to arrive. By the time that I came past again a bit later, the preparations for the protest march were well underway. Rather than sticking around to photograph the march, I returned to my car and headed along the canal and over to Dow’s Lake for some more time with the tulips.
For those who follow my blogs, I did find another fire hydrant to photograph :-).
