Mud Lake Dragonflies

After visiting the Maplelawn gardens, I headed over to Mud Lake on my way home and was pleasantly surprised to see that there were plenty of dragonflies – an understatement.

I don’t think that I have seen so many dragonflies in one location as I saw during this visit to Mud Lake.

I was hoping that I might see a garter snake sunning itself around the rocks along the ridge, but no luck there. After, I headed into a more wooded area and found a nice sample of a Dryad’s Saddle as well as a fruiting fungus that I had not photographed before.
