Lyonsdale Hydroelectric Facility on the Moose River

I arrived at the parking lot and looked upstream on the Moose River and thought that the scenic value was wonderful but I could hear the loud noise of a substantial falls nearby and wasn’t disappointed.

All the water of the Moose River flows around a small island a short distance from the parking lot and then heads through the hydroelectric facility or spills over the lip and down a spectacular waterfall under a narrow one-lane bridge.

I found that being out on the bridge so close to the fast flowing water was actually quite thrilling. A bit noisy though :-).
