Lac Daumesnil, Paris, France

Lac Daumesnil, Paris, France

Located a short walk from the Porte Dorée Station, this lake and its surrounding parkland provides a nice diversion. A little rowboat ferry service and boat rental operates at one end of Lac Dausmesnil in case you don’t feel like walking back to the bridge at the other end of the island.

After a bit of relaxation lying on the grass beside the lake, I headed back toward the subway station and visited the Porte Dorée Aquarium which was close to Lac Daumesnil.

That island in the first shot is amazing; so spooky. What a site for a 60’s thriller.
I like the whimsical boat names too: Bambi, Abelix, Asterix, Eros.
Yep, France is definitely working for me.

Beautiful work, and a nicely laid out site.

Thanks for your visit and comments. I thought the same about the island. For me, the lake and park was a nice diversion from the rock and concrete of the normal Paris tourist areas. A refreshing break for me while my wife and son visited another gallery.
